Bronchitis

Bronchoscopy of dog with bronchitis

Bronchitis is defined as a chronic cough and inflammation with no underlying infectious disease. Although there is no cure for bronchitis, bronchoscopy allows the veterinarian to rule out other infectious diseases, and also to evaluate the severity and extent of the disease, so that the owner can have a better idea of how severe the illness may be. Bronchoscopy also allows the veterinarian to better understand which medications will and will not help in each individual case.
